Short story: Do not allow life events to turn your life into a life of wantonness

Alexandra was a good shepherd, looking after his flock of sheep, until one night he fell into a deep sleep, while looking after them, and several sheep were then eaten by wolves.
He was very upset when he awoke, but the damage was already done, so he gave up minding sheep, as a shepherd, and became the town drunkard instead.
He died a few years later, from such wanton drunkenness, consuming him from the inside out.
To be drunk like this is to act very foolishly, and Alexandra should not have allowed his mistake to drive him into acting foolishly, where he could have used his mistake to improve himself, and to become a better shepherd.
When we are continually drunk, we cut off our access to God, as any prayer, prayed by a drunkard is anathema to a real prayer, in that the heart is never behind it, only the drunken wants of the drunkard.
We should not be sheep in our life, nor should we be wolves.
We should be ourselves, not sheep in wolve's clothing, nor wolve's in sheep's clothing, either.
We should be true to ourselves and not carry out any form of deception, both to ourselves, nor to others.

Do not be weak as a sheep, nor as ravenous as a wolf. Lead a balanced life.

They were certainly unbalanced to vote for Trump, and perhaps he is a little unbalanced himself too.

At times, life deals a knockout blow that can disorient us but we should stand up with renewed vigor taking such experiences as par for the course.
Agreed, it is easily said than done but the other option is downhill all the way losing our moorings and principles.
We should never succumb but fight on that it is not really over till it indeed is.
Personally, I redouble my efforts even though chastened by the harsh reality of life.

@Shiva49 Yes, we really need to adapt the philosophy of living more for the day, or one day at a time, in some respects, while also trying to do nothing that will hasten our exit, or leave us unprepared for a possible next life.
I changed my name and icon, as you cannot be too careful these days with identity theft scammers out there. No point giving them bonus info about me.

@Shiva49 I also changed my password on my email, and I made it a much stronger one this time, but my old emails are gone for good, (I mean bad, lol), it seems.

@innertalks Yes, better safe than sorry.
I get so many links to download applications for free to prevent phishing, virus attacks, hijacking of account etc. I think most are wolf in sheep's clothing to align with your image to this post!
