I will start this post by saying I really do like my downstairs neighbor. We became friends during my 1st year here. The idiot pothead up here said last month that I supposedly hate her but, um, she has the spare key to the apartment. Anyway she is on permanent disability for some type of arthritis that doesn't seem to keep her from doing anything. She claims she only has $2000 per month to live on which is an impossible thing here in NJ when the rent here alone is $1500. (and she has a teenaged son) Apparently you can work while on disability but the amount you can earn is limited. She has had several jobs over the past few years but they never seem to last for more than a month or two. I heard her unlock her car earlier (windows open and apartment living!) so I texted her "good luck with Instacart today". She replied that she got a job at Walmart and will be working two 4-hour shifts per week if not more because SS told her she can earn as much as she wants. Hey good for her. I know she is really struggling with bills. I wish her the best. I give it a month.

That is apparently good news for her and probably she can get groceries for less but I wonder how long she'll manage,

She can earn as much as she wants? It’s almost like SS knew she’s not going to last long. Good luck to anyone though, especially at Walmart.

Good luck to her. I doubt SS told her she can earn as much as she wants.
