The final verse

A long time ago, in what seems like a different life, the song ‘A Man is in Love’ by The Waterboys had a special meaning. And then, of course, things changed and life moved on… This song had faded away into the mists of memory until I heard it again a few days ago and it brought everything back, and I remembered that I wrote a last verse to add to the song. Listen to the video and then add this at the end: A man’s not in love It’s all been a farce When he said he loved you He spoke out of his ar5e A lifetime of lies If only you’d known From now on you’re on you own. https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=RBua1cHwYtc All rights reserved. © Text copyright Fleur 2025

Hadn't heard this song before, and I don't think men are ever truly in love, so your added verse rings true to me. What caused you to write it?

If that’s written from your own experience, it’s very sad. You’re obviously in a better place now, so it turned out well. His loss.

Sad but true now the person is on their own.

The added verse really hits with a twist. Funny how a song can bring back so much from the past.
