So this afternoon my Mom has been cooking a gammon joint. She puts it in a huge pan , covered in water and boils then simmers it til cooked, and still juicy. This is my favourite way of it being cooked. We hadn’t had gammon for several months and then a couple of weeks ago I saw a really nice piece in the shop when we were doing our shopping and I knew straight away it would be delicious. We have had it about every other week since then. It is a relatively cheap product and there are no bones or fat …. With this we are having creamy mashed potatoes with added grated cheese. What are you having for your main meal today ?
