I am amazed a week is done and August is going so quickly. Probably it is because I have been busy lately trying to recover from the shocks and pains of July. Well, as usual, I obeyed my alarm and was up and heading to the farm by 4.15 am. With me was a radio, my solo companion as a I braved the morning cold and dew. I spent two hours clearing and tilling. I am preparing more land for tomatoes and passion fruits. I intend to make it a big project by the grace of God. I was also listening to some cool music from a morning show in one of my favorite local radio stations. I was done in two hours and as usual went home to clean up. It is 7.45 as I write this discussion and my tea is almost ready. I will take it with two doughnuts, then feed the birds before heading to my cyber. I didn’t have to irrigate my seedlings and plants as there was a reasonable shower yesternight. I hope you have a great day wherever you are. Cheers and greeting from Kenya, East Africa!

@SIDIKIMPOLE That is a lot of varieties of crops. You plant them in rotation or they are farmable all year round?

@id_peace Yes they are farmable all year round. But I have divided my farm into plots, so each variety has its block or space. But there are some that can be grown together, like tomatoes and kale.

That is wonderful. I wish you well as you celebrate your independence day. Was India also colonized by Britain? We Kenyans were colonized by Britain.

They are square in shape, not the round ones. Here we have "KDF" as their slang name since they are massively produced for the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) recruits during training.
