New Tid Bits About the Upcoming Buffy Reboot

I am a big fan of Buffy, the Vampire Slayer TV series. I've watched it so many times. I enjoyed the way the group were together. I also liked the dialogue. Now, with the reboot coming to Hulu at some point I am rather excited. I've been keeping tract of it on the internet and have a few things to share. I have wondered who, if any, of the original cast might be brought back. Sarah Michelle Gellar is one of the executive producers and she says she wants to bring back all of the cast that was killed. That's a bit of an order. Willow's girlfriend comes to mind and Spike. But Spike went on to be on Angel so I wonder if that counts. We'll see I guess. She also says she wants to see a balance of new and old characters. That sounds intriguing. There is no official drop date but I do hope it's either at the end of this year or early next year. I'm glad that Joss Whedon will have nothing to do with this enterprise. He was not a nice person and caused the women on Buffy a lot of grief. I don't have any need for these types at all. I wonder how many times the slayers ( both Buffy and the new one) will die in this series. And we don't know as yet if the new series will have any continuity with the comics since there was a series after the TV series that took up season 8 through 12 and continued the story. I've never watched any of those and I don't feel they are apart of it really at all. I guess we will see. They have said that Willow will definitely not come back as she had her own series for awhile, That makes me rather unhappy since she was a real favorite of mine. I am really looking forward to the new reboot and I sure hope that I am not disappointed like I was in the case of the Charmed reboot. Do you have a any favorite TV series you'd like to see rebooted?

Who is the new Buffy? My thought is that they should have a spiritual successor to Buffy. It is new slayer after Buffy retires. I think this is possible through Faith route.

I’m not really a fan of bringing back tv shows ….in my experience they are never as good as the originals ….

I tend to agree. I miss the characters. Hope they bring back some and that the new story is worth watching.

I would love to see a reboot of Lost, Friends and The Office. My hubby would enjoy Buffy.
