Not that is anything earth shattering, but I blanked again on a name I should know well. I have seen Ryan Seacrest on TV for years, and as Wheel of Fortune was starting I missed the introductions, and I was thinking now, what the heck is Ryan's last name? Like I said not earth shattering, but things like that really make me wonder. I was tested a couple of years ago..nothing showed up..but forgetting a name I should know well, even if it is a TV guy make me wonder.

Everyone forgets a name once in awhile that is ok. If you forget a close family member than you are in trouble.

Forgetting names is a common experience and not a sign of Alzheimer's or dementia. It's just a normal part of aging.

He was also on a fairly popular talk show here for 3 or 4 years, plus is all over the radio, and still MC's Idol I believe. I haven't been watching it. Plus he now hosts a game show that alot of people watch. I don't really watch it much though. I think it's boring.

I am going to ask my PCP about my brain at my Wellness Check this fall. I can remember passwords and phone numbers; but when I'm writing I say to myself, "What is that word? I can't think of that word?" These are words which are common to me. Even more disturbing is not being able to remember the words for common objects.

Yeah, worth checking into. I don't generally forget the names for common objects, but probably has happened a time or two.

It doesn't happen all of a sudden does it. I too forget some of the names or the work I planned to work on it doesn't mean we have alzhimer right.

Let's hope not! I have heard it said it is not that you forget where you put your keys it is forgetting what keys are for.

We all do that on occasion. It's normal. If you look at your stove and forget what it's called, that's a problem.
