Ooh, I just love it when I can use this guy.
I didn’t drive to Denver specifically to use this song, but hey, it was in the way of me getting home!
So here’s the next song on the road trip.
Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead - Warren Zevon
No, I’m not in Kansas anymore! (Or not yet, anyway.
)
A song so cool that they named a movie after it! The film came out in 1995; this song is from 1991. Although I never saw the movie, the reviews make me think that the song is infinitely better. (I’d probably say that even if I had seen the movie.
)
Zevon and friends take us on a strange trip to Denver for no really good reason, other than he was Warren Zevon and nobody else was going to do it!
Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead
Written by Warren Zevon, LeRoy Marinell, and Waddy Wachtel
Recorded by Warren Zevon
From Mr. Bad Example, 1991

Hubby knew both song and artist. I did not. Well, obviously I do know Warren Zevon, but I didn't recognize him this time. Hubby wants to know why you keep avoiding the obvious - John Denver and Rocky Mountain High.

I sure hope when I zip up to Heaven I don't take a wrong turn and wind up in Denver,
