Long time no see.

I messaged my Scottish brother today to wish him a happy birthday. I didn’t know where he was: he has the options of Scotland, Normandy, Hong Kong or Ho Chi Minh city - he’s usually in one of those. Sometimes elsewhere. But he was in Scotland, his main place and he messaged me back saying he’ll be in his place in Normandy to see our other brother who now lives in Normandy for all of September and we’re welcome to use his Scottish house. So guess who’s going to Scotland in September. He lives in the Highlands, a good way from Edinburgh where my daughter lives but we’ll try to include a visit to her when we go. We’ll take the car on the ferry - first I’ve done that in 40 years, but there is no public transport near his remote spread. Just a pity he’ll not be there for us to meet up, but we’re hoping to be in France at the same time as each other towards to end of the year so hopefully then. We’re forever passing like ships in the night.

It will be lovely to have somewhere to stay in Scotland, especially if it's a bit remote.

@xFiacre I thought you'd say that! lol Our son 'woofed' on the west coast a bit inland from Achmelvich. I thought that was quite remote.

A trip to the Scottish Highlands sounds divine. I've always wanted to travel to England, Scotland and Wales. I hope you have a wonderful time.

That's a generous offer from him. Yes, you would miss him. But then you already have plans to meet in France. Seems like quite a few trips are lined up for you. Enjoy your time.
