It is believed that President Trump has struck a deal with Putin by offering him some Alaska rare earth minerals and lifting sanctions on Russia to force Putin to end the war in Ukraine . Do you think this is a good or bad idea? I believe every option must be explored to end the war in Ukraine.

I think it's just an idea, neither good, nor bad. What matters is that the dialogue was inconsequential.

There’s talk that Donald Trump might propose giving Russia access to Alaska’s rare earth minerals and easing some sanctions in exchange for Putin ending the war in Ukraine. Supporters of the idea argue that every avenue for peace should be explored, and that economic incentives could help open a path to negotiations. Rare earth minerals are strategically valuable for technology and defense, and such a deal might create some diplomatic momentum where military pressure has stalled.
But critics warn it’s risky and could backfire. The plan doesn’t guarantee Ukraine’s security or sovereignty, and it could be seen as legitimizing Russia’s control over occupied Ukrainian territory. It might also fracture Western unity, weaken sanctions’ leverage, and still take years before any mineral projects deliver tangible results. While creative diplomacy is worth considering, many believe peace efforts must be built around Ukraine’s rights and involvement, not traded away through resource deals.

Well, if after receiving these things and Russia continues the senseless war, then Trump will have to go to war.

At the end of the day, in any negotiation, everyone in the negotiation wants something. So, you figure out what those things are and you make a deal. If the war ends, it's a good thing, and if Trump offered something, it's in the interest of all parties involved here. The United States, Russia and Ukraine.
When Trump offers something, he knows exactly what he is offering and why he is offering it. He wrote Art of the Deal, of course, and has made many successful business negotiations in the past—all of which or most of which wound up being in his favor.
