If they can do it

I'm thinking about this saying here in my place I often hear, the " if they can do it, so can you!" or in Filipino: "kung kaya nila, kaya mo rin" I don't believe it anymore. Let say not all people can be a dentist, not all people can be a construction worker, not all people can be teacher something like that. It doesn't mean that just because others can do it that you can do it also. Like me I can't be a classroom teacher I'm just good as a one on one teacher.
