16.08.2025 Progress on “The Battle out of the Bottle”

Well, I am still writing the first chapter. At this level, I am introducing the protagonist to my audience of readers. I am bringing out his background, explaining his bitter and sweet past, describing his upbringing, shaping or building his character traits, forging his vulnerability so as to validate his entry into the bottle. It is a level at which I must try to convince my audience that their exist situational and environmental drivers that could contribute to alcoholism and unless the ‘person’ takes a firm stand, they are likely to overpower. As I write on, I am at my wits end on how best I can avoid feeling the guilty for pain I am inflicting upon this important character, since I have already introduced him to the first sip!
