Hey everyone, how are you all doing?
Hopefully well.
I need to get to bed soon since I got to start getting up early again.....
School starts for all the kids here in the AM. For Eli, it is 6th grade at the middle school.
He'll be switching classes 7 times a day now! Starting with honors Language Arts. Hopefully he'll do well in that class. I know he's smart enough, he just struggled with the writing part in years past.
Photo is mine - Eli on the first day of school last year.

@AmbiePam Hopefully he's finding his classes okay, luckily most are all close together except for one that he has to go downstairs for.

I just hope he'll learn to not be so shy/nervous. It'll be a very different experience I know. I'm proud of him though, he's in an honors class! However, I expected it to be math not Language arts for that.

I just worry about his anxiety. Glad he has his best friend in his honors language arts class. His girlfriend is in one of his classes, but then the other classes he'll be without them.

Too fast....
He is smart, smart enough to be in an honors class. I just worry about his anxiety and dealing with new students in all his classes.

@MommyOfEli2013 A little help and support in the home will help him sail through. Anxiety issues need a very gentle and understanding approach. My autistic girl needs a regular counseling and talk to deal with her anxiety to face anything new in her college or otherwise life. She is academically very smart.

I'm sure he'll do fine as long as he can stay focused and doesn't get exhausted.

Kids are happy at school in their early age. The first day at school was a bad dream for my kid but the second day was the opposite the first day--she was so happy and couldn't wait for the third day.

My son has never really liked school because of his anxiety. That is good your kid liked school after the first day

Every kids has to go through that to mature and find their way on their own. I remember my first day of class I was crying. Lol!

Yes, doesn't seem like he should be in middle school...not far from high school!
