Straight 3rd day of relentless downpour

My city is under seize from heavy rainfall - it seems like an entire month's quota of downpour is being executed in flat 3 days. On Sunday I was badly stuck in traffic and waterlogged streets, Monday & Tuesday were declared holiday by the government due to IMD's prediction of relentless downpour. And it has worsened, people are confined to their homes and couldn't go out to get the essentials.

It is not as bad as what you are going through but even here it pours, stops, pours stops not something the garden nor us would appreciate.

@Rimps85 That should give it some time to drain off and dry up some. That is good.

This is what I do not like when staying in the countryside. Typhoon usually affects these lowland areas.

I'm sorry you're getting too much rain so quickly. I hope it eases off soon and the city dries out quickly. Just be careful if you do have to go out in it for groceries or any other essentials.

the problem is its coastal city, so when there's high tide at the sea...water flows backward toward city

Well, the worst thing about it all is when that water gets inside the houses and starts damaging all the belongings and we have to carry all the things up. Here in my country it happens very rarely, but it does happen.Especially in the areas that are close to the rivers where they usually flow into, but I hope everything is okay.

@Rimps85 The rain has kept me inside because it didn't stop raining today, but it was good news for me because I hadn't reached the water service and I drank rainwater for cleaning.

Oh god..it is the situation in low lying areas in our city also. There was intense rainfall since 4days.just today we got some relief and able to see the sunlight ..may god clear this trouble in your city .take care When you go out.manholes can be left uncovered. Also take care of germs it is more likely to carry germs if this much water stagnation is seen for longer duration.
