Arthur Lee Allen is the only named suspect in the Zodiak Murders. These five murders occurred in the San Francisco Bay area between December 1968 and October 1969. The killers reason for killing (which was explained in several letters he sent to the police) was that he was gathering slaves for him to have in the afterlife.
Allen died in 1992 of a heart attack. There were many other suspects, but no DNA or other evidence was ever taken from any crime scenes. Saliva from several letters the killer wrote didn't match any of the suspects.
Here are several pieces of circumstantial evidence that has been connected to Allen:
* He owned a watch that matched the symbol used by the killer.
* He lived near crime scenes.
* Allen had a typewriter similar to the one used to write the letters that the police received.
* He had previously discussed writing a book about a killer that would send letters to the police.
There was never any evidence found to link Allen to the murders. Fingerprint and handwriting didn't match.
The Zodiac murders remain unsolved.

Serial killers give me the creeps. There are murders that will never be solved. I read today that Kohberger's professor warned that he was dangerous. His eyes are really scary.

Yes, serial killers are creeps. But, I am a very curious person and these types fascinate me. I wonder why they are this way and what happened in their earlier lives that made them into such fiends.

Those serial killers are really evil. It is difficult to find them unless we use the DNA.

Not sure just like I am also not sure about Jack the Ripper, What is scary that sometimes someone might wind up living next to a real killer,

Yes, and you'd never know. They are so charismatic and cunning. Like John Wayne Gacey. He was a leader in the community. One SK was even a decan in his church. Amazing. Leader double lives.
