Over Time

How many of you got over time work in the office? I think many of you have got it but in my case we are getting very less over time even if we work after office hours. Sometimes i get frustrated by thinking then i let go. But sometimes we get a day off instead of over time so its kind of ok to me, i am smart enough to handle them they misuse our loyalty our politeness our dedication over work. Any experience do share.

We have to work here for extra hours but we are not paid anything for it. I have not worked in any organisation in my 30 years where I have been paid for overtime.

As a former teacher, I often worked overtime without any compensation. In fact, we often bring our work home (computation of grades, checking exam papers, etc.).

@Mshafeeq, We do have 15 days per school year leave credits with pay. If we don't use them, we receive a one-month salary reward for perfect attendance.

It's a very tough job though, did you get paid in annual vacations? Like in India we have 1 month or 2 months of holidays after final exams but teachers won't get paid for it.

I work a 9-5 job before in a company and I can work overtime until 11 PM. the longest hours I experienced was until 5AM when pandemic started.
