23.08.2025: Beautiful Bright Saturday in Western Kenya

Woke up early as usual – at the sound of the alarm. It is my habit to take a glass of water first thing after getting out of bed, which I gladly did before walking my farmwards. I was glad to experience the darkness being gradually replaced by a bright fresh morning. It was welcomed by chirps here and there from within the many trees in my home and around the farm. I left the farm when it was clocking 7. I didn’t have to do any irrigation since it has rained heavily in the past couple of days. S o I fed the birds, swept the compound and made some Ugali and Silver fish as my breakfast. By 8am I had had my breakfast and was spiritedly walking towards the cyber. It was on the way that I bumped into a look-alike of my teenage girlfriend, an experience I have delightedly shared in my next discussion. I hope you have a beautiful weekend.

@SIDIKIMPOLE It isn't destructive here. The farmers are very grateful for the rain.

@JudyEv That is awesome. Most of the time good rains assure us of food security. Lack of food or insufficient food can cause a big humanitarian crisis.
