A stranger named Bill Bratton who was a member of a crew of city staff and water crews were in the Cuyahoga River acted on his ability to rescue a female dog that was wedged against a steel piling when one of the passengers aboard the boat told Bill that a dog needed to be rescued.
Bill jumped into the river as he managed to swim toward the shore and rescue the female dog and take her to the boat.
With the help of the other passengers, Bill was able to get the female dog into the boat and take her to a local animal hospital to be treated for time being in the river without food or clean water.
The veterinarians believe that the dog is two years old, living as a stray for six months before she was rescued by Bill.
Bill hopes to adopt the dog and call her River since he rescued her in the Cuyahoga River. I hope that he succeeds.
