It Will Rain

In 24 minutes, as the weather app forecasted.
The thunder rolls and the skies are dark. The breeze is cold, starting to smell like rain. I am waiting for the faint drizzle to begin to patter on the roof, soft at first, then steadily growing stronger. We shall see if it will really rain in 24 minutes.
Flashes of lightning paint the sky, and the rhythm of the storm takes over the afternoon. At least it is Sunday, and most people are at home. And I am sure they will enjoy the bed weather.

The weather this month is like a mischievous prankster, flipping from a blazing summer day to a dreary, soggy mess faster than you can say "umbrella." And with those infamous ghost flood projects haunting the nation, even a brief downpour could transform into a water park adventure—just not the fun kind.

@rakski I feel fortunate to live in a slightly elevated area where flooding hasn’t occurred yet. However, with the ongoing issues in the government and no solutions in sight, it seems difficult to tackle the current flooding problem, especially as the weather becomes more extreme each day.
