In the chilly waters of New England and Atlantic Canada, the frightening creatures that gained popularity in the 1975 film “Jaws” are showing up in unexpected places. There are now sightings in the US state of Maine, where they were rarely seen at one time. Scientists believe that the white shark sightings have occurred due to the availability of seals, which they enjoy eating. Now I feel sorry for the seals.

@wolfgirl569 I keep imagining seals packing their bags and heading out, I have written about the seal populations there and I sure would hate thinking those sharks come to attack them,

@TheHorse climate change is far reaching. But it disturbs me because I have written about those cute seal populations in New England,

When a favourite becomes more readily available, the predators move in in bigger numbers.

Sorry to learn that the seals are in danger in Maine due to the presence of sharks.

There seems to be so many more shark sightings than I ever recall.
