I do not know how today's babies are brought up but duirng our time we had a fmaily cradle where every kid that was born used it/ It lasted for many years and even my sister's kids got to use it I still remmeber when one of my sister's kids who had already grown up and stil used the cradle wanted to come down and join us where we were busy making Christmas sweet. He pretended and said that he wanted to use the bathroom in his own baby language. He got what he wanted. Any cradle stories?

I did have a lovely Jenny Linde baby bed for my son that was given me by the paternal Grandma...but it had to be left behind when we had to run for our lives from him, the Father. His Mother said to run as far as we could away..that is what we did. There is a story..about a baby bed anyway.

What a lovely memory! Life really did feel simpler back then—one family cradle shared across generations, cradling every little one until they outgrew it. It’s touching how something so modest could hold countless stories and create bonds through time. The part about your sister’s child pretending to need the bathroom just to join in is adorable—it perfectly shows how clever and determined kids can be to stay in the mix. Nowadays, many cradles are made of plastic, and while they’re practical, most only last a few years. With proper care and storage, they might last a bit longer, but they lack the timeless charm of the wooden ones from the past. A cradle wasn’t just a sleeping spot—it was a part of childhood, filled with laughter, innocence, and lifelong memories.

Wonder why today's generation has no interest in them.
