The Indian parliament and the government have decided to ban online gambling as may gamblers lose billions to the habit. Though this is not peculiar to India alone, as the quest to get extra money becomes more rampant worldwide.

The Indian parliament and the government have now decided to ban online gambling, as so many gamblers end up losing billions to the habit. Of course, this problem isn’t peculiar to India alone—it’s happening everywhere as people chase the hope of quick money. What’s more concerning is how rampant online gambling has become. Even children can now access these platforms, with electronic wallets making it far too easy for them to place bets and spend money without much restriction. To make things worse, many online influencers promote these platforms, making gambling look fun and easy to win, when in reality, people are far more likely to lose than to gain. Stricter rules are definitely needed to protect the most vulnerable from falling into this trap.

I do gamble too but with little money I can afford to lose. Its fun and easy for those who win steadily.

@ogbenishyna44 If you are an adult and responsible enough not to get addicted, I suppose that's acceptable. The real challenge lies with youngsters who can easily fall into the trap, believing the illusion of a big win in the gambling world.

@rsa101 I don't gamble - neither online, nor offline. I think it's a right decision.

Gambling will never be a good sports, because many families are being broken and experience a lot of pain, mentally and physically because of the effect of gambling addiction.

I guess it is a good thing but you know the true gambling addicts will die of longing to gamble.

I’m glad they have banned online gambling. Others countries should take note and do the same.

Something will replace it and workarounds will be created, as always happens whenever someone tries to stop something that really... Cannot be stopped.
