No doubt we all should age with dignity and I believe in that but what to do when physical restrictions do not permit you to do that How can one walk with dignity when knees come in the way? Then come eye problems, may be even for some hearing problems ..... the list is endless With all this is there a scope to live with dignity? What say?

Getting older really does come with its share of struggles—aches in the knees, weaker eyesight, even hearing issues. It can feel like those changes take away some of the dignity we want to carry. But dignity isn’t just about how strong or capable our bodies are. It’s more about how we choose to face those changes with grace. Even if the body slows down, our spirit doesn’t have to. We can still show kindness, patience, and warmth, and that’s where real dignity lives. The body may bend, but the heart and soul can stay strong.

@allknowing Yeah, I know. There will come a time when we’ll rely on someone to take care of us. But I guess that’s just how life goes. That’s why we should start planting those seeds now, so one day someone will care for us out of the love we’ve shared with others.

I am with you on this and believe one can live with dignity but many have to depend on others to live their life and that is where it hurts.

As the age pass so as the physical problems, by looking at the past I will definitely live with dignity as I lived life by not depending upon others built my own legacy. But health is more important here you should be strong physically too. Eating healthy and exercising.

@allknowing At least becoming older earlier you will have 5 to 10 years of healthy life. Instead of getting old in 50 or 60 you will be old at 70. You got my point right.

When you get older just do the best that you can. That is all you can do.

The sciatic pain I've been having trouble with seems to be gone for now... I can walk again without the fear of having pain when I first stand up and take a few steps! Of course, my eyes swelled closed for a few days again and that wasn't fun.

@allknowing Sciatica is often an old-age problem, yes. It can also happen because of weight issues.

My eyes aren’t what they used to be. I guess spending long hours in front of the computer has really taken a toll on them. I've been dealing with my adenomyosis. But this has been a struggle since I was in my late 20s. Other than these, I still feel like I am in my 20s. Or maybe I am in denial hahaha.

If you visit an old age home you will see the kind of problems each of them have to face and it is easier said than done when it comes to accepting life and moving on

That's why they say aging isn't for sissy's, we age & no 1 deals with it the same way or have the same problems it's god's way of giving each 1 of us a sign to grow old.
