It's been 1 of them days

Hello every 1, Yesterday we took the water heater back to the store after 2 wks of dealing with the service dept to do something that they never did but put me on hold on the phone & that wasn't cutting it so we returned it. In the process of doing that I almost lost my credit card we bought the water heater with & that was scary But thank god the desk clerk I was dealing with saved it & took it to the service desk B-4 getting off for the day. The stress of all that I guess took it's tool on me & all I did today was sleep the whole day away & that's not like me, the only thing I've done for the day was make a bowl of chicken salad & wash the dishes that's it. Hubby got the water heater hooked up while I was sleeping he says it's working like it's suppose to so I guess that means we can take showers now. Like I said, it's just been 1 of them days where I didn't feel like doing anything & slept the day away & when I sleep like that it's not like me, but I'm fine I just have days like that since I've been out of the hosp 3 yrs ago. I really feel like since my health went down like it did I lost a few yrs of my strength, my energy, that I use to have & that really sucks, but it's what what it is I guess. But other than all that, we're doing o.k just doing what's left to get done in the cabin & I'm going to TRY & get what needs to be done on my part to get things in order so when it's all said & done to move back in, BUT we still have to work on getting the mold out B-4 I can move back in there & that means redoing the ceiling AGAIN. I just HOPE we don't have to tare it all down to get the vaper barrier off if that's the case that's going to be a JOB. Wish us luck on that cause we're REALLY close on being done where I could move back in, I'll keep you updated.

well you want to know the CRAZY part about all this? there was nothing wrong with the water heater like we thought it was the "person" that hooked it up didn't hook it up right pipe wise.

Hope things get better for ya, I sometimes feel like I was happier when I was renting my condo then when I bought my house. My first year of ownership humbled me for sure, had to spend over 10k doing repairs here in there. felt defeated and un-motivated at times

I rather own a home than to make some 1 else rich.

@2ndchances24 Trust me landlords ain't rich lol unless they own a multiple properties that generating revenue. I went from 1900 a month all utilities included to a 2900 mortage plus all the bullcrap that comes with it, hasn't been fun or easy. Ownership is nice but not worth the non stop expenses, property taxes..

@BACONSTRIPSXXX I use to live in rented places & I got tired of them ripping me off & not doing what they needed to do for the $ they were getting every mon, & causing me more grief than it was worth.

Glad you have hot water again!! What happened to make the ceiling mold? That sounds like a big project.

I'm thinking what caused the mold is the vapor barrier we put up & no vents & I had the ac on where the place stayed at 60 degrees so it stayed cool while husband worked.

@kareng he's not going to do that & I kind of figured he wouldn't he's going to get up there & scrub it with bleach to see if that works.

Mind and body works in tandem. When we have health problems the mind gets affected and vice versa. I am going through that right now

the pisser about all this is we should have been DONE already but it's been a struggle from the GET GO, but life is like a bowl of peach's every now & then it rots & smells, but you just have to pick the good from the bad.
