My friend grew chilies

It was her maiden effort and she sent me a picture of what she grew They were healthy looking green chilies.
I have a huge garden and have yet to successfully grow chilies. I am really proud of my friend and I told her she should slowly go for other vegetables.

Mom used to grow green chili peppers along with bell peppers in the garden when I was growing up... She always made sure they were on opposite sides of the garden so they didn't cross-fertilize with each other.
That is a nice plant in your photo.

There is always a first and in this case she was able to produce healthy looking chilies

But birds love them and they must be protected She is lucky unless she has removed the net before taking the photo
