My friend grew chilies

It was her maiden effort and she sent me a picture of what she grew They were healthy looking green chilies. I have a huge garden and have yet to successfully grow chilies. I am really proud of my friend and I told her she should slowly go for other vegetables.

Mom used to grow green chili peppers along with bell peppers in the garden when I was growing up... She always made sure they were on opposite sides of the garden so they didn't cross-fertilize with each other. That is a nice plant in your photo.

@allknowing We had a huge garden back then.. The butterflies didn't cross the two species.

I used to have a variety of chilies in our garden. I do love seeing them bearing fruit before.
