Thursday Murder Club….

United Kingdom

So , last night I watched the Thursday Murder Club on Netflix. It is based on a book by Richard Osman. Richard is a fairly well known ish, tv presenter who in recent years has written several books , including the Thursday Murder Club series. I haven’t read the books but I saw the film advertised and it has a great cast, including Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley and Celia Imrie, so I thought it may be worth a watch. I love murder mysteries anyway, so I hoped this would be good. And if it was , there are more stories in the book series…. Anyway, like a say I watched it last night and I did enjoy it. The storyline wasn’t the strongest but it did introduce the main characters beautifully. And I’m hoping that they make more of the books into films. Of course, as we all know books and their film adaptations differ greatly, so I am not going to read the books….i fear I may be disappointed with the differences. I will, however look forward to more films. If you like a ‘soft’ and ‘fluffy’ murder mystery give this a go…..

Yes, Ive heard of that . We have that here, of course, but …..I’m not that keen on him so I rarely watch anything he is in. This film was different as it was just written by him so I thought I would try it.
