Just as we suspected, the mother-in-law was at fault for the accident with the semi tractor-trailer. It shows she drifted out of the left lane into the truck in the right lane. That is consistent with the damages to the car. Also, when she moved, hubby followed her driving to the new apartment and said he would have sworn she was drunk because she kept drifting out of her lane. The police officer noted on the report that she confirmed the truck driver's story that she drifted into him. Naturally she's not saying that now. She thinks it's a conspiracy theory against her. She says the truck driver is lying. She's saying the truck driver drifted into her. Sigh. Either way, the insurance companies will sort it all out and at least nobody was hurt. There was no damage to the truck.
