I don't believe in the death penalty

I used to but hey I also used to vote for Republicans. Law enforcement can lie. People can lie. There can be confusion with evidence.
I found this video about The Innocence Project a couple of years ago when I had to teach forensic science. This is an old video and they had exonerated 200+ people by that point.
I don't believe in the death penalty these days. Law enforcement can be wrong and that is a permanent answer to what could be a cloudy situation. They are already exonerating so many people. . . I can't imagine how many more innocent people will be freed with the improving science.

Not even for school shooters where there is no doubt? Where video evidence is plain as day? Because I am for capital punishment, but it needs to be for something like that kind of situation. Because it is too scary to pass it out like candy since you’re right, there are are so many variables where innocent people can die.

I agree with you, I am not for capital punishment either.
We must live our lives by the laws of the land, but I fail to think that anyone is superior to instruct a life to be ended when the laws have been broken.
There are never enough evidence or eye witnesses or concrete evidence.
Two wrongs don't make a right.

I don´t believe in capital punishment either. But I do think that prison is not what it should be, at least in my country.

My problem is religious. Thou shalt not kill or An eye for an eye? I'm torn.
