My First Decent Cup of Coffee in Three Weeks

Not too sweet, not too bitter. But the important thing for me is --- the coffee that can keep me awake the whole day so I can do a lot of reading and working on my computer.

My goodness that is atrocious..I would have thought the coffee would have been very good over there.

I wonder if Europeans dislike our coffee so much. Then again, even though they obviously drink coffee, it would seem they’d care more about tea. While I recent gave it a good try, I don’t drink coffee.

I take my coffee…to someone else to drink. We had a Maxwell House plant in Jacksonville when I was stationed there, and I loved to go by it with my windows down to smell the fresh ground coffee coming from the plant. And I used to love the A&P stores, that had coffee grinders at the checkouts so people could get their coffee ground the way they wanted it. Ooh, what a great smell to hit you when you walked in!!!! But despite loving the aroma, I can’t stand the taste of coffee. Never have. So you have a cup for me, okay?

I like my coffee black. It is the only way I like to drink it.

You've been home for a while though. Why haven't you had good coffee before this? I usually just have milk in mine, but I will ocassionally put some flavored sugar free syrup in it.

Water tastes differently from various places, and that always affects the taste of coffee. I like mine with double milk.

I haven't had any coffee since my husband went to the hospital/rehab; but he used to make me a cup of decaf Folger's Instant every afternoon with a donut or something sweet. I would have powdered creamer and sugar.
