I dropped my medicine cup

I take liquid pain medication. I have done it for years. For whatever reason they have gone to the syringe plunger type measuring. I also take some medications that aren't liquids but also do not contain the 'inert' ingredient I am allergic to. So, the other day I just lost my measuring cup. Since I take 2 kinds of liquid meds I have used various of these liquid measuring cups. But that one dropped and the black hold in my house grabbed it. I have looked and looked for it. So, I got on Amazon and looked for one. I didn't find any without the measuring cup going up to 30 ml. Now, I could measure both medications in the cup for two doses, but for one I would still need to use it two times, because it only holds 30 mls and I take 20 mls of one medicine and and the other is 15, and that would be 35 mls. But it is fine. I've been used to doing it and I may still measure out both medications separately in case I measure it wrong I can put the rest back into the bottle. Now, I put my medication in little bottles, this allows me to have one ready for each dose. I take medicine 3 times a day. To take medicine like this I had to decide when I was going to take meds. I take one at 6 a.m., one at 2 p.m. and the last one at 10 p.m. One of my medications has to be refrigerated. I have a little fridge by my bed and my little bottles go in there. I almost always wake up enough to take it and then I'll tuck it under my pillow so I can refill it when I get up later. Here is the link to my little cups.

I bet your measuring cup shows up sooner or later in some odd spot where you just set it down for a minute and then forgot about it. Hope it shows up!!

The cup jumped out of the fridge when I went in there for something else. And there really isn't any place it should be able to hide. Buy, yes, I've discovered the black hole isn't interested in it after you have found a way replace it. When it spits it back out, it could be in a different room or someplace high even though I heard it bounce twice on the floor.

@kareng Yep, there were 10 in the order. They had glass shot glasses with the measurements on them, but I don't need that. I break enough glass as it is.

I have two meds that are refrigerated. One is a shot and the other a liquid dose. Both are once a week and are for Diabetes. Pretty brings them both to me on Wednesdays. I drink one and she gives me the shot for the other.

Both of mine are 3 times daily, but they are for pain. My blood sugar is not a major concern... might be when the sugar I ordered comes in... My GP is always trying to scare (?) me with diabeties. Honey, I'm 71, both my wife and my roommate (who I offered to marry her to get her on my insurance) became diabetic in their mid-20s. I ain't gonna live long enough for all the scary stuff to start happening!

@ElicBxn My blood sugar levels still register at the pre-diabetic level. Once, it was higher and so they claim I'm diabetic. I ignore the doctor on that score. I think it's silly the way they keep rattling the same tired scare stories.

@DaddyEvil me too. I have heard it all. I told my GP, who is a Nurse Practitioner, that I will worry about being diabetic when I become diabetic. My mom was told she was borderline, in her 40s. She changed her diet. Back then there were few things for artificial sweeteners, but she did it. When I was there at the Health Department there was this table for screening and stuff for diabetics. I told the lady that my mom was borderline. "Well, then she's diabetic." "No, she's been controlling since the late 1960s with her diet." "That can't be done. She needs to see a doctor." "She does see her doctors, and her blood sugar has been perfectly in control." "No, that is not possible." They had Mom listed as diabetic until my brother pointed out that despite finger sticks that are normal and her A1C is perfect, take that off her records. I'm telling you, once they think they have you pegged as diabetic you can't get rid of it. Viv had the same problem after her gastric bypass. Her blood sugar was perfect and her A1C was too.

I just hope you can always drink your medication on time all everyday. Enjoy the rest of the new week.

I miss my 6 a.m. med this morning. Well, 2 meds, I just put them in a little bottle after I take it - I do put water in and rinse it every time.

I just used one for the first time. I may have to mark where the lines I need are. I'll think about it tomorrow.

The mystery of the measuring cup, coming soon to theaters. Sometimes it happens, my friend, in real life there are things that have been lost before my very eyes, and I look for them and they're not there, and when I'm not looking for them.So there I get it
