Noise!

Philippines

When I was younger, the louder my environment was, the fun it was to me. But now that I am getting old, the noise annoys me. When I was in high school to college until I finally graduated and got employed, I used to play alternative music so loud that my parents had to scold me and ask me to turn down the volume. Do you do the same when you are young? I hope @FourWalls will answer this one too. I am curious how he listened to music when he was younger.

FourWalls sure is interesting in every way. Did you know I got to meet her about a month ago? She is a hoot! Maybe she was like us and blasted her music. I would get on my parent’s nerves!

Really? did you meet her in person? Wow! That's nice. I guess she is like us when she was younger, hahahaha! I hope she can share us a photo of her room before.

Thank you for the mention! When I was little, it was the record player and the radio. When I discovered rock and roll in my teens it was headphones time, because I, too, would blast it. Now, it’s an app called AccuRadio or some 8,000 songs on iTunes that I’ve loaded onto my old phone.

You are updated, but I don't think we have that later in our country, but we do use Spotify. I have been using headphones since I was 9 years old, but I don't know why I loved playing loud music at home back then, lol! I have been using headphones until today. Back in the 9Os when I was a teenager, we were hooked to MTV and waited for the music ranking of our favorite songs. But I still listen to the radio, and I have my favorite DJ before, lol! Do you have DJs before, who was your favorite? Thank you for answering Fourwalls. Four Walls, I hope you can share us a photo of your room before, I think you really have an exciting teenage life, and you said you love to travel.

@FourWalls Yes, mine is Henry Kiss and Lex Love in Kool 1O6. But I have never heard of them ever since I start working. I miss them. Sorry about Gary. But I guess he had lived his life to the fullest. The good thing about today, they can see all the interviews on youtube, and streaming flatforms over and over again, before once the shows ended, that's it, no replays. But now we can.

@luisadannointed — I loved listening to Ralph Emery on WSM out of Nashville, especially his interview show. He was usually on overnight, and Nashville is an hour behind us, so hearing him overnight was impossible. We had a great local DJ who went on to national fame, Gary Burbank. He passed away last week. I think that was part of listening to the radio, you had a favorite DJ.

I like most of the same songs I did when I was younger.

When I was young, I was never into noise that I could think of. I preferred it quiet.

I worry that many of these young people are ruining their hearing through playing their music so loud. I don't like loud music nowadays.

Yea, loud noise gets to me too. I wasn't so against it when I was younger; didn't exactly mind it but didn't seek it out too. Now I can't stand it at all. Lol

We shifted here from a noisy city to enjoy the peace and quiet of the place
