Yesterday had us all concerned and sadly the danger is not over yet! Lightning strikes have caused several fires throughout Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties, one of those fires destroyed most of Chinese Camp including the historic post office that has been there since 1854!
Yesterday we feared that several of our Church Members were near one of the fires included M, thankful we got conformation that they were not, and everyone is safe, which of course was our main concern!
M is in the process of moving, not out of the area, but closer to our Church and to where I live yay, but this isn't about that, its about the importance of checking on others not only in times like this, but during normal times as well! And I do that, quite often, especially with those I know who are alone, or who have been through something hard! And I know M and S certainly fit that category!
But the fires that are burning have served to remind me of the importance of making sure our loved ones are okay, checking in on the them, taking the time to pray for them!
And right now, our county and the surrounding counties could really use your prayers!

Definitely will pray for everyone. Those fires are unbelievable. Seeing that fire on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, even from the distance I was, then getting in the smoke on the way to Glen Canyon Dam, was quite the reminder of how expansive, and dangerous, those things are.

So many fires, I am thankful your friends are safe. And you are so right, we need to check on each other. When I see those terrible fires on the news it hits home just how terrible they are. I will add this to my prayers. Take good care!!
