Officers with the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) answered an emergency call about loose bison who escaped from their home in Elma Washington on Tuesday August 5.
The loose bison blocked traffic on Highway 12 in both directions when the Washington State Highway Patrol had contacted the owner of the bison as the police wrangled the bison and returned the animals back to the property of the owner safely.
Thank goodness no one was harmed in the incident in Washington state.

Interesting to see animals in a place that you wouldn't think to see them.

That is true since even the state police found seeing bison in a road in Washington state looked odd.

It was good they got onto this quickly, as hitting a loose bison with your car might cause a lot of damage to your car, and to the bison.

I'm glad no one was injured. I love bison. We saw some in person. Their heads are so huge!
