Edward Price, who is a professor at the New York University has come up with a suggestion that certain people would definitely not like. He wants the President to scrap off the heavy 50% tarrif that he has imposed on India. He suggested it should be brought back to zero. Sighting New Delhi as Washington's most important partner, Edward Price has said that the US-India partnership will decide the future course of action between Moscow and Beijing.

Tariffs can't be waved of completely. It's something irrational. If that happens, American goods will stop selling as Indian goods are cheaper than American goods even in the US.

But 50% doesn't make any sense either. It's just because India has persisted with buying Russian oil that he has laid down 50% tarrif. What sense does that make? No one can tell us from whom to buy anything or to whom to sell something - I'm just saying, though it may sound to be particularly pointed at you It's not. And how can yesterday's America tell us this? Russia has been long friends with us, since the 1970s. If we ask the US to stop selling arms to the entire world only then we accept the higher tarrif, will they agree?

@aninditasen They are just no one. They needed to be discovered. We WERE. That's enough to feel proud.

@abhi_bangal You are right. He is no big brother to dictate us terms.

India go first. India's tariffs on U.S. goods has been through the roof for decades. Do unto others as you would want others to do unto you, right? So, if India doesn't want to be tariffed, don't tariff us. It's that simple.

If India was tarrifying the US for decades, why were your leaders sleeping? And weren't there logically thinking experts in your countries before? Why were all silent for decades? And if you want to mend ways, increasing that high isn't the way to go.

@abhi_bangal Because we did not have the leadership of an America first president like Donald Trump who is NOT doing what he is doing for political favor or gain, he's doing what he is doing for the American people. He ran because he cares about the country, cares about American labor and cares about American interests, and unlike politicians before him, is not willing to sell his country for his own personal, financial or political gain. India, on the other hand, took advantage of American generosity. It now has the audacity to claim it is the one being wronged.

@porwest Wow... So not a single president before him cared about American people! Not a single president cared about the American labour laws! The fact is that Trump wants to enter the agriculture sector in India which our Prime Minister isn't allowing him to do. Our Prime Minister is one such person who isn't bowing down before him. That is why he brought the Russian oil purchase issue to the fore, which is like blackmailing. Another thing is that 30 countries have accepted the Rupee as the currency for international trade which is going to hurt the American dollar to a great extent. The US earns a major amount of money by selling arms to various countries in the world. This means as long as the wars are going on, you are earning. This is totally against morality and nature. The nature has its own ways of bringing things back to square one. That is not what the source of a major country in the world should be or any country for that matter. It's all the curse and helpless anger of those who suffered in the wars is. That's why someone got the decision taking powers to hasten the D-day.

It's only legal in the eyes of one man, and that too for reasons only best known to him. What fun

Correct. It's ultimately going to hurt the common man. And the overall business. It doesn't do anyone any good.
