When Under the Weather

Yesterday, my aura told me I was about to get sick. I already felt like my throat was about to be sore. So, I tried to prevent it because it is really hard to be teaching or giving lecture in particular when you have runny nose and sore throat. I went to the clinic to take some medicine. I took medicine but still today I finally got sick. It is very uncomfortable. I managed to give lecture though. Good thing it is weekend tomorrow.
Now, I am just worried about my side hustle which is face to face. I am thinking of cancelling my class but my student is really in need of my presence since she is about to take her job application. What are your thoughts?

If you're giving in-person lectures, I hope you wear a mask or you could make all your students sick. Especially wear a mask if one of your students is going for a job interview or you will cost her the job.

I understand your dilemma. If you can meet your student needs you that much, and you won’t get them sick too, I’d try to do it. That being said, if you’re really really sick, and not only do you feel badly, but they could get sick too, I’d cancel. It’s easy for me to say, though.

Don't be reluctant to give lecture when you are uncomfortable, you'd better have rest,do your job after recovery, wish you get well shortly.

Perhaps you could wear a mask, but I hope you feel better soon.
