American Made is a 2017 film based on the real life of Berry Seal. It is listed as a comedy-action crime film, and it doesn’t let you down on any of that. Another movie that shows that our government or people within our government make up the laws or ignore them at their will, whatever suits them at the time. Alright back to the review of the movie. Tom Cruise stars as Berry Seal and Sarah Wright as Lucy Seal. The movie follows Berry Seals life as an American pilot becoming a drug-runner for the CIA in the 1980’s. How it was okay at first till he started working for others too and where that all leads to. Have you heard of the Iran-Contra affair? The film was interesting, exciting and kept me interested. I remember the Iran- Contra hearings being all over the news but where it all started, I didn’t know, well now I do. I would give this a 4 out of 5 and would suggest giving it a look. It is rated R due to language, some sexuality/nudity, and of course reference to drugs.
