Ed Lovely and his fishing partner Moe Giovanni were on Ed's 16.5 foot boat at Long Island Sound about August 1 when they caught a huge thresher shark in the water. Ed and Moe took turns wearing the fishing belt and holding the rod for six hours until the boa landed on the shore and the two men used teamwork to load the shark aboard Ed's truck which broke a bolt when the two men took the shark out of the truck. The two anglers are hoping that the catch of the shark will set a state record in Connecticut. Link is upi.com/2081754671409 via @upi

That is one huge shark, and they will get many a meal of fish, and chips, from that catch. There is a limit on small fish being caught here, and perhaps there should also be a ban on large fish, or sharks, such as this too, as we need to allow such large fish, and sharks, to live too, as they are probably too tough for the eating too, being so big, and old. Nobody likes to eat a very old tough chook, with stringy flesh, and perhaps it should be the same with old sharks.
