German Township Police Department Officer Stevens was on duty on Thursday September 4 when he saw a turtle walking on Ohio state highway 725.
Officer Stevens I am sure did his act of kindness when he rescued the turtle named Bruce to keep his oath of protection and service to his community and not for the positive publicity that he received on social media.
Bruce the turtle will not be penalized for jaywalking by Officer Stevens.

I am in agreement with you that a rescue is better than a tragic event.
