There's Something Fishy About My Verizon Bill

United States

We have our two cell phones and internet through Verizon. I got a text telling me my new bill was ready but the amount was about $65 too high. So I called Verizon Customer Service. The totality of the call took 37 minutes. Somehow or another a new line got added to our phone plan and the customer service rep on the phone seemed to think the rep at the store added it on to get a bigger commission and it was not an error, but an intentional act. After much discussion about fraudulent activity or reprimands for the store rep the online Customer Service Rep gave me my new bill amount. It's about $65 lower than it should be. I have no idea what to think. I'm waiting for the dust to settle.

Wow! That took a lot of nerve on the part of the store rep! I'm glad it's fixed.

How odd that they thought they’d get away with it.

I hate when things like that happen. My phone bill went up about 50 bucks, but that's because I'm paying off my phone.

We had a new phone salesman at Walmart who did something like that several times. Of course, he was fired when the customers found out and reported it.

I am lucky with my Internet, The house has WiFi and the boys downstairs use Internet every day so we have a good strong connection and it is included in my rent so no worries for me,
