Done with my Diamond Painting!

After dedicating seven painstaking days to the task, I was finally able to complete the entire canvas. It was far from easy and not the most comfortable process, as it required a steady hand and sharp, clear eyesight to meticulously place each and every bead in its proper position. The result is a picture covered with tiny beads that somehow make the image more vivid and shiny. I was thrilled to finish it yesterday and proudly shared it on my Facebook page to showcase this artwork, which now adds to my paint-by-numbers collection displayed in my living room.

I’m genuinely proud of pulling that off! Even with my less-than-perfect eyesight, I managed to cover the entire canvas with precision, like some kind of determined, squinting artist. I got so absorbed in it that I completely forgot about the rest of the world—emails, notifications, memes—all of it vanished into the ether. Honestly, it was like going on a digital detox disguised as an art marathon, and I loved every second of it!

@DaddyEvil I’ve been oddly missing it since yesterday before noon, when the final bead triumphantly found its place, leaving no black space on the canvas to haunt me. It was a bittersweet moment—sweet because my eyes and back could finally throw a retirement party, but bitter because, come tomorrow, life returns to its dull, beadless normalcy. No more squinting like a detective or squeezing those tiny, rebellious beads into submission. Ah, the glamorous life of bead artistry!

Have it framed. That would make for a nice wall decor, your hard work surely paid off!

I’ve done paint-by-numbers many times and usually just hang them on my living or dining room wall. This one feels different, though. I think framing it is a great idea, but I’ll need to find the right frame to encase it safely.

@pitsipeahie I will try to find an appropriate frame for this. Although I am not particularly interested in cross-stitching, this project seems closely related to it. While I enjoyed working on it, I am not sure if I would attempt it again. This piece was a gift from my son's girlfriend, and I put in my best effort to complete it as a way to show my appreciation for her thoughtful gift.

@rsa101There are shops where you can have your pieces framed—just bring them in and they’ll do it for you. You can also buy frames online, but you’ll need to measure carefully. Back then, I used to do a lot of cross-stitching. I finished quite a few designs, most of which I had framed. Some I gave as gifts, and after almost two decades, a few still hang on my walls while others have found new homes.

I think I'm good for now, just trying to find a spot in my living room to hang this piece since it's my first artwork in this kind of hobby. Most of my completed pieces are paint-by-numbers.

Yes, I’m proud of what I accomplished there. The effort was truly challenging, requiring patience to carefully place those tiny beads in just the right spots to make it look good in the end.

It is a labor of love. I went from my eyes straining to my back aching for a week, but I truly enjoyed the whole process of placing each bead as accurately as I can.
