And what led to such insurmountable debts?

I listen to Acharya Prashant. And there is a lot, I would say almost 75 percent, that I agree too, without any "subject to" clause. I am not half as well read as he. Certainly not a brilliant person like he. And lazy as hell. Yet, ... somehow we have come to same conclusions. Mind gets conditioned...this looks good on you. The next year, that same thing which looked good on you last year, looks dowdy. We gladly surrender our confidence.........and spend like idjits .......for doing that. Even as mirror tells us otherwise, we brush that honesty of the mirror aside. So yeah, consumption is one of the cause for our misery. We end up buying what we don't need, and damage our environment for it. I did come up with a post against large homes just a few years ago. The other major cause for environmental damage is population. Each child destroys at least 4 trees if not more for his or her requirements. Whether to grow food, to build homes, to get those books, or heating whatever. Last but not the least, is the pollution we are capable of generating. I am constantly asked adopt a human child, not a dog. I say no...human child will pollute the world, dog will not. I am doing the world double favor by rejecting a human baby. It will bring down coc ky confidence of people bringing children into the world FOR OTHER CHILDLESS FOLKS WHO DIDN'T ASK THAT FAVOR. To think that our peninsula has just fifty years or so for becoming desert. It does seem far fetched. But it is as close to the truth as it gets. And we spend fortune to clear the plastic bottles that block our water sources. Spend fortune to manufacture what creates only waste that doubles our expenditure elsewhere...only to provide employment NOW .. yeah.....all that insurmountable debt is because we lost touch with reality. We forgot to live simply. We will all die in less than a couple of centuries later...make no mistake about that. It won't be a meteor or universal catastrophe that will destroy earth. It will be the likes of Musk that do the damage. Glad that I will not be around. Glad that my kids will not go through rough life.

No Oshy, I don't have kids. I shudder at the thought of my kid struggling for water or struggling in floods. Where can you run, where can you hide situation.

@vandana7 These Days can be very dark Vanny for the world. We must clutch onto each other in good spirits and find the light still.

You are correct. There are some that say the human race will not survive. That wouldn't surprise me.

We are focused on destroying this race. No other god's creation on this planet did that. Or maybe Dinosaurs did, because they ran out of food. Same pattern, differently...
