It is unimagineable that there could be bathing suits of the type you see in the image
Compare that to a skimpy two piece bikini which is considered to be convenient for swimming now.
It is not just bathing suits in the good old days but women covered themselves fully from head to toe.
What could have prompted fashion designers now to gradually change the way it has both bathing suits and all those skimpy clothes one sees these days?

How could anyone swim in that costume is a question that is difficult to answer
