Afternoon fellow mylotters!! Yesterday I had a breast biopsy,so I was unable to eat anything 8 hours before my appointment. We live about a 2 hour drive from the hospital that I had the procedure at. For our lunch(after the procedure) we ate at Mangolian Grill Buffet!!! My son called that morning asking about when the procedure would happen and he said he wanted to see us. That day was his daughter's 16th birthday. Before the procedure was done I guess he kept calling my phone and then he ended up calling his dad's phone asking how I was doing. So when I got done with the procedure I called him and told him we were going to eat. He said his daughter and he would meet us. So we paid for the meal and treated our granddaughter (and son) to lunch for his 16th birthday!!! After lunch the hospital had given me a little ice pack. It was ready to use, but after the first use you would have to freeze it to get multiple uses out of it. A friend of ours went with us for support, so we went thrify shopping and got a few things. Well the ice pack wasn't doing much help. Then we decided to go to Dunkin' Donuts to get us an iced coffee. She suggested I put the cup down my shirt and let the coolness of the cup help. So, my husband was driving and I put the large cup of caramel iced coffee down my shirt on the incision and area and the cup was tall enough that I could drink out of the straw without moving the cup!!!!! Wonder what people were thinking when they drove by us??? ~Peace~

That was a great idea. People who saw it probably made a mental note to do the same in the future if they needed.

Hey, you made the best out of an uncomfortable situation! That’s funny. I’m so glad you got to have lunch with them.

Ah, tell ‘em to keep their eyes on the road and not on your big gulp. Pray all the tests come back without any signs of cancer or other problems.
