I thought I was eating healthy but with that pain and weakness in my limbs I was disproved. I look healthy - everyone who sees me says that and I too thought I was until......... All that pain and weakness in my limbs my doctor says I am not eating food that has protein I have already talked about the protein powder I am recommended to have As a senior we need more protein to take care of our muscles. Off I go to do just that Are you eating healthy?

That got me thinking too. I mean, I’m feeling pretty strong these days, but now you’ve got me wondering if what I’ve been eating is actually enough. Maybe the doctor could toss in some food recommendations alongside that protein powder pitch—like a little “eat this, not that” guide. Though, let’s be honest, I can’t shake the suspicion that the good doctor might just be moonlighting as a protein powder salesperson, trying to make a little extra cash on the side. Sneaky business, huh?

@allknowing I guess I’m joining the aging club too, because whatever is going on with you now is just a sneak peek of what’s coming for me. It’s like a preview of a not-so-exciting movie that I can’t opt out of watching!

@allknowing I am staying healthy since I am grateful to walk and I have read too many horror stories of sports stars who die of diabetes.

Yes, I believe so... My doctor recommended more fiber in my diet so we started buying fiber powder to add to the water we drink all the time.

I have not lost weight and that made me think I am eating healthy. Now I know it is the fat and not my muscles I am carrying all that with weak muscles and that explains the pain and weakness I suffer while walking

It's better to have protein in its original form from foods like milk, cottage cheese, lentils and so on.

I do believe I'm eating healthy, but this got me thinking. And about the protein powder, I just remembered a friend whose right kidney got swollen all because of the protein powder, the doctor says it's better to acquire protein the natural way, because too much protein or those chemical based are actually harmful to the kidney.

This guy you are talking about may have had kidney issues I have dealt with kidney issues as we had someone close in our family. Normal kidneys have no diet issues. My doctor who has been practising for years surely knows who to recommend protein. I have no kidney issues.

Plant based proteins will contribute to the healthy protein intake.digestion and absorption sometimes interferes. Also make sure digestion is proper.unless body cannot utilise them.
