South Carolina police dashcam records lightning hit on a utility pole

Police officers from Mount Pleasant South Carolina recorded on their dash camera a lightning strike on a utility pole on Monday August 11 which caused a small explosion and fire in the city.
The lightning strike caused a short blackout which caused traffic jams until employees of Dominion Energy were able to repair the downed wires and restore energy.
Thank goodness no one was hurt in the incident.

That is true since lightning strikes are rare to be seen by a dashcam.
