When I say appetite I do not mean just food. One needs to have an appetite for dressing well, for wanting to see places, eat out, meet friends, reading, watching movies, I can go on and on When one does not have an appetite what is the good of all the money one has It is a sad situation when one has the money but does not know what to do with it Any one you know?

That’s a good point. Although, sometimes it’s a good thing not to have an appetite for certain things if you can’t afford them. But your point of having the money with no designated aim is very sad too. Just sitting around, with no appetite to do anything…

@allknowing Yes, and even though I can’t afford vacations very often, I at least enjoy going out of town when I can.

You’re so right! Appetite isn’t just about food. I actually know a few people who worked so hard to earn and save, but when it came time to enjoy what they have, they lost that appetite. It’s a bit sad, because it reminds me that money alone isn’t enough. We really need that drive to live fully and happily.

@allknowing True! It’s kind of sad, isn’t it? All that money but no spark to enjoy life. At the end of the day, it’s really the appetite to live and have fun that makes us feel rich.

@annierose One should be in the attitude of gratitude if one has that appetite

Just now
Money can open one up to all kinds of adventurers. But even without money, finding the little things in life to enjoy can be special too. Yes, not having any passion for doing anything whether rich or poor is a life lacking meaning... "The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun."
