There just seems to be a magical connection when a band's composition includes brothers or sisters in their lineup. Just look at those "Rockin" Wilson sisters from the band HEART, they had some great tunes like "Barracuda and Crazy on You." And we must not forget those California boys with the same last name. Whatever it is, whether that family bond, or shared passion, for many of these acts their collaboration works. So, if I was going to come up with a pick six of legendary sibling bands, I'd put these artists on that lottery ticket. See if you agree, or perhaps you have a "suggestion sibling band" you like better... SIBLINGS WHO ROCK!!! 6. THE CARPENTERS- although they did not rock, POP/EASY LISTENING is more like it, you can't deny the beautiful tunes they crafted together, with the excellent arranging of brother RICHARD, and the exquisite singing of sister KAREN. Songs like "Close to You" and "We've Only Just Begun" are just 2 of my favorite classics. 5. BACHMAN-TURNER OVERDRIVE (BTO)- As far as Canadian exports to the U.S. music scene goes this group of 3 brothers were a treasure. Founding member Randy Bachman was also the impetus behind forming another Canadian band, the GUESS WHO. With his brothers BTO cranked out chart hits like "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" (1974) and "Takin' Care Of Business" (1973). 4. THE EVERLY BROTHERS- This sibling duo started producing hits in the late 50's with their first single "BYE BYE LOVE" (1957) reaching #2 on the record charts. I really didn't listen to their music growing up, like many 60's kids my focus was on the Beatles, Beach Boys and the Four Seasons. But I do respect that The Everly Brothers charted 31 singles on the Hot 100, including three #1's, quite an achievement. And I do enjoy listening to some of those hits today. 3. CREDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL (CCR)- What a band, with a sound I thought was from the South, especially after hearing "Born on a Bayou." Nope, these guys were from California, and their unique sound propelled them to unprecedented popularity by 1970. With John Fogerty singing and writing the majority of the songs, they scored five #2 hits over the course of their career, (a record for runner-up tunes not hitting #1). Hey, when the public just uses initials instead of the full band name, they have to be great. I know they put a "SPELL ON (me) how about YOU? 2. BEACH BOYS- These Californians were famous for their harmonious sound and songs centered around cars, surfing, and girls, a true family affair led by brothers Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson. Sadly, the last remaining Beach Boy brother, Brian died this year. -Do you have a favorite Beach Boy song? Mine would be "Good Vibrations." I also enjoy listening to "Help Me Rhonda." There are just so many chestnuts to choose among!! TRIVIA CHALLENGE- NAME THAT SIBLING GROUP! ***Here is my favorite choice for sibling bands. Can you figure out which group it is from the clues provided... Words with quote marks provide valuable hints! #1. This "trio of brothers" whose "harmonious vocals" and songwriting talent made them "icons of the 60's-70's era". In 1968 the group scored big with their first #1 UK hit a "song" called "Massachusetts." They followed that up with another #1 UK hit, "I've Gotta Get a Message to You" establishing themselves as premier artists in the music industry. The band became even more widely popular with their "disco" influenced songs on the 'SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER' soundtrack. That soundtrack with songs like "You Should Be Dancing" along with the film release put the group into a whole new level of stardom. ***Do you know their group name featuring this trio of brothers? Till the next one... Source- Wikipedia and songfacts.com

Your trivia question: I absolutely ADORE the Bee Gees. I wish I could have seen them in concert. I've recorded concerts from the PBS stations; but I would have liked to have seen them live. I also love the Everly Brothers and the Carpenters. Karen's voice was superb.

No, unfortunately, I couldn’t figure it out. Not a surprise given my sad musical knowledge. My mom loved The Carpenters. When I think of modern day bands of siblings I think of the Jonas Brothers, but they aren’t my kind of music. Or Hanson (who could forget that awful song, Mmmbop).

Using initials is like a pen Name which a poet uses.May be this is also similar kind. Those are record of old albums it seems.I have no idea of them.
