I'm on my 4th day of my 10 days health break. Yes I need money but I feel today that I need a break from my tutor job. You know I do all the household chores and I don't have day off. They sometimes just help me in cooking. I haven't tried to ask my family to give me a day off because they might think I'm just lazy. I had insomnia again last night and l feel lazy today and got the idea to why not take a break. I can't take a day off in housechores so I just take a break from tutoring. After all I deserve a break, a time to just chill After my 1 month break to recover from hysterectomy last year, I need to have a short break again

Take a day fully to yourself. The chores will still be there later or someone will step up and do them

I understand you don’t want them to think you are lazy, but it should be obvious to them you aren’t. If they have a problem with you needing a small break, the problem lies with them.

You are absolutely right, you do deserve a break. Household chores never really stop, but stepping back from tutoring for a short while sounds like a good way to recharge. It is not laziness, it is self-care, and after everything you have been through, including your surgery last year, your body and mind need rest now and then. Insomnia can make everything feel heavier too, so giving yourself permission to chill for a few days is important. I hope these 10 days help you feel lighter and more refreshed.
