The Costs of Healthcare are Ridiculous

I'm starting to get my EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) forms from my health insurance provider. Just as some examples, let me share with you some of my recent costs. These aren't the amounts that I have to pay, thankfully, but the amount that was charged.
Emergency Room $4,651.09
Immediate Care Center $365
Pneumonia shot $1254 for the shot and $150 to give me the shot
CT Scan of my brain $3264
Pain Patches $71.83
Of these amounts I'm probably out of pocket about $200 at the most, which is a blessing that I have good health insurance.
But don't these costs seem astronomical to you?

They ARE astronomical. But of course, that's the price we pay for something that's worth paying for. I don't like it anymore than anyone else, but it is what it is. I wish the costs were lower not only in terms of what is paid overall by us and insurance companies and wish that health insurance was not such a big hurdle for people wanting to retire early. At the same time, like I said, our healthcare would not be worth much if it didn't come at the high profit incentive companies enjoy.

Yeah, why did you have a brain scan? You just reminded me not to go to the ER. Although I think my visits would probably be covered.

@snowy22315 That's what they're trying to figure out. They want to send me to neurologist. Yes I've had Mild Cognitive Impairment since at least 2015 or 2016.

It makes me Shiver in my shoes when I see what mine cost
cause of my health issues I had 3 yrs ago, it's in the 1,000's
7-10.000's cause of the meds & test & stuff I have done.

I'm very thankful to have good insurance, but the premiums are outrageous.
