Do you work for discounts, freebies, and status perks?
I do.
I have a cruise coming up with MSC Cruise Lines in February. I've never sailed with them.
But they're supposed to match loyalty status with Carnival, so I'd be entitled to spa and store discounts and other special perks and privileges.
So I just emailed them to match my loyalty status and apply it to my upcoming cruise booking reservation.
Hey, I'm retired and have nothing but time to follow up on these things. Haha.

My sister does, and when it comes to travel, her travel agent does too (we’ve know the agent for 30 years, when she was in college). Mindy thought it would be cheaper to handle it all herself, but the agent has saved her more money than she ever thought possible. Mindy is really good about never going over what they can afford, but getting the absolute most out of her money.

I always look to see what it is available and whether it is something I can use or not. Hey if they match statuses..might as well go for it.

I usually don't but Pretty does and sometimes she'll fill out stuff in my name to get discounts or freebies.

@looeyville It sounds too much of a hassle to me, but I know it works.
